Introduction
Ever since I was a little kid computers fascinated me. My mother once told me that the monitor refresh rate creates a synthetic excitement that appeals to kids with attention deficit disorder. My mother never fully approved of me tinkering with computers. She told me they wouldn't provide me a good life in the future.
When I grew up to be an adult I turned my imperfections into my strengths. I am well on my way to an Associate's degree done almost entirely through a flickering computer monitor. I work professionally in the overnights. In my 7 years of professional adulthood I've never had a daytime job.
I hope to be a Super Cool Computer Guy like in the movies some day. I took a technical writing course at a community college to help cut costs towards eventually getting a 'big boy' job in computer sciences. I get frustrated when my smart phone drum machine crashes, I get upset when my online college server goes down due to traffic load, I get upset when a web address is printed wrong and I have to scramble to find my math class's location. I hope to someday fix the exact same technical problems I had that have slowed me from getting a degree.
